Sell it to us!
It's all about supporting original, local music to keep the live
music scene alive, checking out some new talent & of course having an
awesome time to warm up those cold winter weekends…! The BWMF is not a
money making venture, it's self supporting and designed as a showcase
for new and emerging talent that's why tix are only $25.00 + bf - it's
affordable to everybody!
Started 5 years ago with the aim of having a festival for unsigned
original local bands; went so well that it took on a new dimension due
to the increasing interest from international & established bands. This
year we've added market & food stalls, guitar & djembe workshops,
comedy, and of course the Black Seeds' straight from NZ will headline
the Festival!
Three things that'll rock the party: The bands, the
crowd, and being right on the beach … shame it'll be too cold to go for
a swim!
Crowd specs
We're expecting well behaved, enthusiastic music lovers from 1 to
100 years old as it's an all ages event!
More?
Not only is the BWMF promoting unsigned (mainly!) local bands, but it
will be hosting a fresh line-up of cutting edge performances from all
genres with over 25 bands on 3 stages along with MCs, DJs, workshops,
markets & plenty more to please each and everyone of you! So don't be
lazy, come on down to the Bondi Pavilion on Sat 11th June and warm up to
the sound of original music!
